Remembering Carl Watts

As you may know,The Legendary Voice Of Voice Of Russia,Carl Watts has died of Cancer.
Since 1970 or so his booming voice radiated through the static on many recievers to announce"THis Is Moscow".
I remember Carl really well since i first started in the SW and DXing hobby in 1976 on an old upright Morse/Electrponic Home Stero System with tweked oscillator coil to enable shortwave on the AM band. The Secret?I used an ordinary metal coathanger on the terminal on the am socket in the back of the unit.I will Try to upload a picture of Carl from the VOR site For You soon. There was a tribute to Carl on yesterdays program dedicated in his memory.http://english.ruvr.ru/radio_broadcast/2248880/39623015/index.html
in my next blog,i hope to update you on WTWW's future plans for the new TX,so Stay tuned.Let Me say Thanks To Carl Watts for many years of great shows. You'll be missed my dear friend!Brainy,73'sa,BrainmanMedia Services Studios
